Mark your calendars! BoardGasm returns to The Board Room Game Cafe on Sunday, February 28th, 2016!
The cafe will be opening its doors an hour early for us, and the back room will be a BoardGasm dedicated space for the entirety of the day.
The Board Room's standard $5 admission applies to all, as does its minors policy (accompanied by a legal parent or guardian, arrive before 6pm, order a meal, stay for up to 2 hours).
Look for announcements regarding door prizes, game schedules, and other details in the coming days and weeks!

Summer BoardGasm - Changes
We've made a minor adjustment to our plans for the upcoming Summer BoardGasm, so I just wanted to make a post so you all know about it.
We are going to be taking the first 30 minutes of our scheduled time (i.e. 12:00 to 12:30) to hold our annual general meeting for the NSBGS. Because of time constraints we will have to limit the discussion somewhat, but if you have any questions you'd like to ask feel free to come by.
We will also be holding two elections at this meeting, one for our Treasurer and one for an additional director. Kate Thompson, our incumbent Treasurer, will be running for the second position (assuming we can find another Treasurer). We are very much looking for someone who has experience as a Treasurer to join us here, although experience is not necessarily a requirement. If you're interested in either of these positions we would appreciate a heads-up if you are planning on running (although you are only required to be at the meeting and be nominated in order to run).
In any case, from 12:30 to 1:00 we will then allow people to set up the games they will be running, with the first scheduled games starting at 1:00.

Summer BoardGasm '15
Alright, we finally have a date for Summer BoardGasm '15!
This year, Summer BG will be on July 26th from 12pm to 12am, and it will be held at The Board Room Game Cafe!
Entry will still be $5 for the day, but we will be unable to sell advance tickets this time around; that said, they will be able to accept debit/credit cards at the door this time around. It is also important to note that minors are only allowed to attend until 6pm, will have a time limit of 2 hours, and must pay for a package deal; sorry, but that's the law since this is a licensed establishment.
We've got a lot planned for this one, including door prizes (free entry) and possibly some food deals.

Status
Hello All,
Well, it's been a while since we've posted anything, and there's a reason for that. This past year has been quite busy for all of us at the NSBGS. Unfortunately, all of this activity was in our personal lives, and as such we haven't been able to do much on the society front. That said, it is our hope that this coming year we will be able to get back on track. To that end, I have a few announcements.
First of all, I am sad to say that there will be no Boarpocalypse marathon this year. When the dust finally settled and we were all able to devote ourselves to working on NSBGS tasks again, it was simply too close to the proposed marathon date to pull everything together. This, coupled with our continued issues in getting people to commit to the marathon, led to us making the tough call and cancelling the marathon for this year. It is now our intention to focus our efforts on planning the 2016 marathon instead.
Another change, and one that you've likely noticed, is that we've moved our NSBGS page to blogger. This is for a number of reasons, but predominantly because it has a cleaner look. We're also hoping to transition our BoardGasm page in this manner at some point in the near future. Our marathon page will remain mostly the same, mainly because of the custom software we use to run the marathon
Finally, I wanted to note that we will still be having a Summer BoardGasm this year. We are currently working out the date and time, at which point I will announce that information here.
